Went out with Claire today. Went to watch the ghost of girlfriends past. Haha ^^ It is like the fourth movie I have watched in this holiday. Haha (: out of the four movies, I like night at the museum 2 the most. It was very entertaining and hilarious (: (and lame too. and I have a special liking for lame stuff)

Ghost of girlfriends past is quite funny too. But it is a bit... censored. Wonder why it was rated PG (like drag me to hell) haha^^ After watching we wondered around in causeway point because we were not really very hungry after all the popcorn (which is still in claire's bag I realised) we tried to stuff ourselves (okay. maybe only I stuffed myself and gave up when I finished my coke) during the movie. Went to action city and mini toons to buy present for jianing, gongyuan and kaiyun ^^ I love love action city and mini toons and more than words and gift a name and precious thoughts!!! OMGOMG!!! The notebooks and pens there are SO SO SO SO nice and cute!!! I cannot resist the temptation and bought pen from action city, notebook and pens from more than words and notebook from precious thoughts. OMG. I cannot control myself when it comes to notebooks. (and btw, the notebooks and pens are so cheap!)

Had lunch at ajisen ramen which burnt a hole in my pocket. But never mind. Since it is my birthday (soon), I should treat myself and experience the life of a spendthrift for one day! ^^ And it feels good!

Kidnapped claire home after all the shopping and started preparing gongyuan's present. Haha^^ chatted with different people and claire watched me chat. lol. then claire went home and my parents went to bbq party and I cooked dinner to eat myself.

454 H1N1 cases today. The number is increasing rapidly and it was quite alarming. There is a cluster at Republic Poly so I guess maybe school will be closed not long after it reopens? Haven't finished my homework and SIA so I have to really rush them out tonight and practise piano too ):

365 H1N1 cases now in Singapore. And guess what?! Hwa chong is having e-learning!!!! I want to have e-learning too!

But never mind. I miss school a lot (except for all the overdue homework). I miss walking down the aisle from audi to class every morning and catching up with my friends during recess and lunch :D June holiday is actually quite long (despite the fact that I did not get any homework done in this holiday)

Had piano lesson today. Did aural with my piano teacher's friend. She's a very systematic teacher :D She actually prepared notes for me and drew tables on chord progressions with me. ^^ I like her (: Bought very nice chocolate muffin near nafa and window-shopped at orchard with mum. Felt very depressed because I cannot buy all the nice clothes (too young to wear them) Never mind! I will grow up someday (:

Finally finished my maths concept map. Still have a lot a lot to complete. But never mind! I can finish them! FIGHTING! JIAYOU!

Reviving

I am reviving my blog again. School holiday is coming to a close. I have mixed feelings about it. Happy because I can see all my dear friends and classmates again and I will not be so bored at home without any motivation to do anything 颓废在家里. Sad because I haven't finished any of my homework and I still don't have any motivation to start working on any of them despite the cruel reality and horrifying fact that it is just 3 more days before school reopens.

There are 315 H1N1 cases in Singapore now. It was a mere 220 this morning when I checked MOH website. 95 cases overnight. Wow. No wonder H1N1 is now a pandemic. Okay. Maybe it is a bit too late for me to realise that. But I totally think that holidays should be extended. Not because I haven't finished my homework or what-so-ever. It is just to make sure that school will be a safe environment to study in. We won't know if we have been in contact with any H1N1 patients (there are more local cases now than imported cases). We never know if we are infected. What if we bring viruses to school and spread it to classmates. The outcome will be disastrous.

But never mind about it. It's okay with me if school reopens as scheduled. Just that I will be very sad. But I have to learn to face the music and take up responsibilities and get whatever punishment I deserve for my prolonged procrastination and slacking and lack of motivation.

Maybe I had wasted my holiday away. Maybe I had lost all my passion for learning and studying over the holiday. But I have learnt something about myself during the holiday. Okay. Not really about myself, but I have found a goal for my life, a direction which I have been trying to find over these years. I will try to pick myself up again, regain my passion for learning, be studious, manage my time well and probe my ways towards my goal.

As I have mentioned for umptenth time, you reap what you sow, when there is a will, there is a way. And amazingly I suddenly remember so many (overused) proverbs. Haha ^^ I am amazed by a proverb when I read a book on translation: a friend in need is a friend indeed. it rhymes. and it is totally true.

I haven't posted for one month. Haha. Finally updating now!
Sometimes I feel like abandoning this blog because of i dont really feel like revealing things about myself (okay. i just revealed that i dont like to reveal myself =.=)
but never mind. lol.

THE JUNE HOLIDAY IS HERE!
And I am not very excited.
There are a lot of stuff to complete like SIAs D: and revisions DD: I still haven't figured out my schedule for the holidays. I have no idea which days I am free or busy ):

AND I am going to have my 'long-anticipated' piano lesson and piano exam soon D: ARGH! I keep having nightmares about my coming exam and how I cannot play my scales properly (which I still cannot until now D:) I have lost my passion for scales (and piano too), sadly to say ): I need some kind of drive in me to push me (but there won't be any because I cannot drive unless I am 18)

I hate holidays also because I cannot see/meet my loved one(s) during morning assembly/recess/lunch/after school ): SO HORRIBLE!!! I cannot stand it anymore (and it is just the first official day of school holiday!) ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boarding school experience

Went to watch YST concert tonight at esplanade. I was inspired to become a conductor! Haha :D but my inspirations always die after 3 hours... haiz. I think I need to be more determined!

I am moving to boarding school after piano tomorrow! So exciting and I have been anticipating it long ago. Boarding school is very fun because it is very near to the school and I can sleep half an hour more each morning and save one hour after school :D I had a great experience there last time doing OM. haha :D I sound as if I am advertising for boarding school. lol.

IH is next week ): Because I have screwed my chem and la very badly, I shall study very very hard for it. But I think it will not help much too because last minute work has bad quality (sometimes only) D:

But anyway, I tidied up my study room last night! I filed all the random stuff into their respective files and tidied up the drawers :D Now my drawers are full of NOTEBOOKS! Oh man, I love notebooks :D everyone must give me NOTEBOOKS for my birthday hor!!!!! YAY!!! :D the thought of having a bed full of notebooks made me so happy (and sleepy) hoho XD

Okay. have to revise IH ('revise' in my dream) now! bye~

I have already posted 31 posts which was like "wow" when it first hit me. I feel like changing blog (again) but decided strongly against it after creating a livejournal account. Haha :D

syf and om are finally over. My life suddenly feels so empty. No more morning, recess or lunch om meetings or lunch pracs. I suddenly have all the time in the world. Haha ^^ But when I have all the time in the world, I will start to procrastinate which is so expected of me. haha ^^ I must be determined and be persistent!!!!! YAY!! Alright. Time to sleep. Update someday later (which may be never!)

i was there for the entire day. i thought that nygh did really good, maybe too loud at times, but they could at least manage a gold (with honours).other schools, some did pretty well. i thought some sounded better den those from the morning session, so im actually quite curious as to why they didnt get gold.

you should have been there to feel the silence in the hall. it was like so intense. nobody moved. and some were just in too much shock to start crying. I'm surprised that Nanyang did not get gold. :/

i watched the entire afternoon session...I'm really shocked that nygh didn't even manage to get a gold. i was really expecting at the very least, a gold. their choice piece was excellent, and the solos (especially the two flute solos - excellent!) were really good. im really surprised that they only got silver. its a you-have-to-be-there moment - the hall was really quiet and filled with nothing but disbelief when it was announced that they got silver instead. a pity, really. perhaps they were a little too loud at certain portions of the choice piece and the set piece? that was the comment i overheard from people sitting ard me. i do agree they were a little too loud and intense at certain portions, but imho, they managed to handle the dynamics of the two songs pretty well. maybe the loudness was a bit over the top, but there was evident volume control. the quieter parts were done nicely, and the "sfpp---sffz" at the end of hymn to the infinite sky was really well-executed.WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!!??!and.. i thought cedar girls' played rather well too. hmm.. but i dun really get zhonghua's choice piece - i would have thought that they would have chose something that showcases the band somewhat. the whole song felt a little flat to me. but the fundamentals of the band are clearly there - the articulation and the likes.yeah. erm. pls dun flame me. just my humble opinion. =)NYGH deserves better! but nonetheless, i respect the judges' decision(s).

Does anyone know how did nanyang girls and dunman high get silver???Both bands are of high standards and i expected at least a gold from them if not a gold with honours..

our school had an exchange with nanyang and they were fantastic! But they should have done their best, and if the judges gave them a silver, so be it. After all, the colour of the medal does not mark the quality of the band.

3rd April 2009. a day all nycbians will never forget. our overture was majestic. our hymn was touching. the solos were fantastic. almost all the nycbians cried while playing hymn. miss chong was touched. the seniors were touched. the audience was touched. we played music.

everyone was very happy and very delighted when we finished playing. everyone was cheering because we knew it was our very very best. (:

when the result was out, we were shocked. nothing but just shocked. it was impossible. i was kind of hoping maybe the person announcing the result took the wrong paper. but it was real. everyone cried.

but now thinking about it, the award doesn't seem to matter anymore. we dont need to be certified as gold with honours. because deeply in our hearts, we know nanyang concert band is a gold with honours band! we will not be defeated by this 'setback' because it is our best and we all enjoyed syf. what others think dont matter anymore. We will all work hard for the coming arts festival and APPASSIONATA concert and show the world that nanyang concert band is a gold with DOUBLE honours band!

Every cloud has a silver lining ^^

All the competitions are finally coming! JIAYOU! I believe our efforts will pay off! WE MUST GET GOLD WITH HONOURS and TOP 4 for OM!!!!!!!

Had HMP blocks today. It didn't really feel like a block test. Mr Lim was quite bored (i think) and he actually asked "Who wants hints?" just 5 minutes after the paper had started -.- asked all sorts of questions and his replies were very humourous... in a weird way. Haha ^^ Mr Lim was asking all the band members whether we were stressed for SYF during the blocks and actually showed the class bandfusion website with results during the blocks too. And he told us to do paper faster because apparently he was going home at 4 (his wife called during blocks) and he was mumbling something like "快点快点，迟早都要交的，所以快点交！”

Today is April fools. Didnt feel like it ): tried to play prank on weiting. I lied to her that her junior came during recess and put $30 on her table for cca fund. She believed and actually sms-ed her junior. She ran all over the place to get reception. finally, i felt bad and told her I was just joking. She smiled and continued listening to her MP3. and told me "I wont laugh at this kind of jokes. try harder next time!" with a happy happy happy big fat smile on her face. i failed. ><

Then tried on Kaiyun, told her there was a spider, but failed as well. because she did not hear clearly......... -.-

Finally tried on Claire. Told her that my mum wanted me to quit HMP and piano. She's the only one who believed!!!! She was so worried and suggested me to take piano lessons secretly.... But horribly when amanda asked me "hey peiwei, you quitting piano arh?" (in front of claire) I very happily and quickly answered "no, where got? who say one?" FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARGH~~~ I realise I cannot prank on people at all..... So sad! I want to have more April Fools!

Blocks

ARGH!!!~ Blocks are coming! In fact LA is just tomorrow O.O Comprehension!!! I need lots and lots and lots and lots of practices! Should start doing (like finally) tonight! haha. I feel very happy in school these days. I hope all lessons will go on and go on forever. I hope band will last forever. I hope debate will never end. but it's all impossible... how sad!

One down. Two more to go. After these two competitions, I can finally focus on my studies and I wish I will do well for my blocks :D haha ^^ and piano too! Haven't been practising piano recently and having trumpet lesson with tutor. (no wonder my trumpet is so horrible recently! must check the techniques with tutors and seniors)

JIAYOU JIAYOU JIAYOU! heehee~ I feel so high now. Probably because I am crazy after moving up to sec 3. heehee~ Actually Sec 3 is not that bad, ~~it's very bad~~ , all we need to survive it nicely is time management ~~which obviously I dont have~~ . I will start (and try) to manage my time well now :D (which = no more blogging and using com again) I should throw my laptop into the store room and never take it back again! It's such a distraction and temptation! From this day onwards, procrastination will no longer exist in my dictionary! (lazy will substitute it. haha^^)

I sound so high and feel so high. Haiz... ~~the higher a person is, the lower she will go later~~ and my later is when I sleep :D hope I won't cry in my dreams... lol. 输了……一切都结束了……

当看到那张写着“立化中学”的纸，心中毫无感觉，或许是麻木，或许是已经绝望；但一切已经成为定局，再后悔也挽回不了失去的机会。

我不后悔，也不伤心。也许我一生注定是赢不了任何比赛的，永远得到的都是张参赛证书，什么讲故事比赛、硬笔书法比赛（不过话说过来，我的字确实不怎么好看……）、写故事比赛、双语比赛、奥数比赛、数学比赛、辩论比赛，我的战绩都是零。哈哈，虽然辩论赢过了两场，可是我一共打过五场，无语……

不过我不伤心也不灰心。可能这次失败了，但是也不代表以后都会失败。如果这次付出了100%的努力，那下次就付出200%的努力！总有一天，我会成功的！即使那时候变成了80岁的太太，我依然是成功了啊！
唉~~~~ 我天生就是个乐观主义者，想不到经历了那么多次失败后更乐观了。汗 -.- 不过没关系，机会永远都会有，只要努力+好好利用机会就=成功！某裴现在正在high-ing~~~~~~~

Will update another day about it because I have to 'study' tonight ):
I miss home a lot a lot (but not a lot as compared to last time when I was quite young). It feels so good to be home finally and my bed looks nice and comfy (although I didn't really sleep on it yet)

OBS is not very horrible, okay, rephrase. It was very horrible when you were having it but it is not so horrible when it is over. It really takes me out of my comfort zone. I won't really jump from a jetty normally. I don't fish that way. Hahahaha ^^

Trekking was rather hard and I guess the takeaway from it is challenge yourself beyond the limit and perserverance. There are many takeaways which I will blog about them some other day. Got to go now. BYE!~

Today is quite okay (: It is nice because I had all my favourite lessons today: IH (because Miss Wong is very funny and tells us interesting stories :D), BSP (can watch gua sha or slack - but turned out to be translation lesson), PE (badminton!!! Hope the next module is fun too!), LA (I like presentations because we can learn a lot of things!) and assembly and gua sha and BAND! Today is a perfect day. Haha^^

Feeling a little bit down today for no reason. Haha^^ I think I will be more cheerful tomorrow (which I am starting to be today during band). Haiz. Don't know. My mind is in a state of confusion.

Gua sha is a bit dark to me. I was kind of having mental turmoil while watching it. 虽然电影的情节有些夸张，可是不可否认的是中西文化之间的差异实在太大。刮痧让我想起了去年辩论的题目《文化传承需要原汁原味还是融入流行》。融入流行的一个论点就是文化交流，百花齐放。虽然说有一部分的文化会流失，但精髓还是保留了下来。当初认为论点不错，可是今天仔细一想，不行，文化不能融入流行，文化就是得原汁原味的传承。原汁原味的传承并不代表一尘不变、一潭死水。有些文化是不能融入流行的，例如刮痧、中医等等（艺桥，你可不要反驳我！只是随便说说）。那这些文化不就意味着要流失了吗？融入流行后的文化变了质，那还叫作文化传承吗？我觉得最好的文化传承方法就是保证内容原汁原味，提高民众意识，让民众真正了解文化并欣赏、珍惜文化。流行带给文化的创伤实在太大了。

I like the way the lawyer retorted back to the nurse, "You are here to testify child abuse because datong said 'save the wife, not the child. But if datong said ' save the child, not the wife', then will you be testifying forwife abuse?" oh shucks, my english is horrible. Must improve! It is really a great debate technique I need to learn. Finally updating after a few days. These few days have been very stressful because of various projects, namely chemistry (our proposal was rejected for don't know how many times, the reason for the most recent rejection is because we did not include the advantage of the project -.-), bsp, language arts presentation, om, band (I love band ^^ not considered stressing because its fun! the stress comes from my horrible playing D:), debate, studies and finally piano (which I have not touched for a thousand year)

I reached home crying yesterday, 1st time I cried in this year. I thought I would never ever cry again after all I had gone through last year, I thought I had a much stronger personality now, but in the end, it turned out to be the opposite. ): I feel hopeless. Totally hopeless. My schedule for everything messed up. I did not study at all for quizzes because of projects (bsp, lang art which are all due very very soon). I missed om lunch pracs and recess pracs because of pe and cca D: I did not practise piano at all because I reach home after 7.30pm everyday and need to finish all the homework and projects and research and ... ):

Although missing all these things really matter a great deal, but the most important of all, I found out a fact recently (finally enlightened by the circumstances) ---- Peiwei is really a lousy person, not just in one aspect but in all aspects.

OM - cannot act properly, cannot paint properly, cannot even read lines properly, all I can do is to joke, yes, I am such a great joke to others and myself (in pauline's [she's just joking, she doesn't mean what she says, I hope ^^] words: I (pauline obviously did not say 'I' but said 'you' which referred to me) really feel embarrassed for myself)

Band - terrible playing horrible technique. cannot pitch high notes, do proper lip slurs. what kind of senior am I? I am worse than my juniors!

Studies - forget about that, I was always average and ignorant, which I am and will continue to be.

Debate - argh.... forget about that ): terrible terrible terrible. I think I will withdraw after sunday (see situation first). I really feel lousy.

Piano - no improvement only deprovement. I guess wang laoshi will not teach me anymore after he hears my playing next sunday. Miss Foo (old piano teacher), here I come!!!

ARGH. I have never been so emo before in my life ): ~~Maybe situation will improve?~~

Possible solutions:
1.Withdraw debate and piano and band and hmp
2.Withdraw debate and piano and band and hmp and om

Outcome:
1. Peiwei will die of a terrible death because they are all her passion (at least they still were last time - except for band which still remains as a passion)
2. Peiwei's parents will simply kill her and om people as well.

Conclusion:
I am just trying to escape from my difficulties right? Escaping from responsibilities will not solve any problems, they will just cause more problems and regrets.

Final solution:
Face everything with a happy smile. 走一步看一步. Just work hard :D

In the end, optimism got the better of me (again). I will just put in my effort and work hard :D 走一步看一步

And please forget what I wrote before (the horrible truth of peiwei). Haha^^

Today is a terrible day as well. Found out that lang art and chinese proposal are not due today ): Chiong-ed for nothing in the end. But the good thing is that we have more time to touch up on our projects and no need to be in a big rush for the next deadline :D Happy happy.

Went to Causeway Point with my mum. Saw 汪东城 and 杨丞琳 publicising for 爱就宅一起. Haha^^ It was very chaotic with fans flashing their cameras at the lovely faces of their idols (汪东城 has the most number of fans!) and screaming and shrieking. It was kind of scary and quite gross to look at all the hands stretching out to take photos of the superstars from 3rd floor. All you will see is black little dots (heads) accompanying with a pair of chopsticks of different colours, sizes and lengths. Remind me of the hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers. haha^^

Then went popular to buy practices for 长文缩短. tried to look for A Maths assessment but they only have A Maths guide ): bought a pen holder (cow! MOOOOOO~~) for my dearest pens and of course, HIGHLIGHTERS!

Ate Swensens with my mum!! (: Gold Rush (chocolate and coffee ice cream). Had some counselling session (I think I have mental problems. haha^^ Should cross wood bridge tomorrow!) with my mum and happily skipped the way back home. On the way my mum was lam-ing about camping in the living room since I am not going obs in march. -.- I think I really inherited my lame-ness from my mum. She's even lamer than me until I have to tell her "please don't be so lame! I can't stand it!"

To prove how lame she is, I shall write down our conversation
mum: let's put a bucket of water outside the tent, it will be the sea
me: yeah right, add some salt and a fish inside too! it will be more real!
mum: yeah yeah! I will pick some flowers for you too! they will be the trees and flowers in pulua ubin!
me: -.- (she copied this line from a lame tv show we both liked to watch last time)
mum: i will also put two rocks outside your tent which stands for pulua ubin.
me: (dont really get it but dont want to continue the lame conversation because it is going to get lamer)
mum: laughes like crazy at her own joke (the rocks that one) beside me
me: it's very funny? not funny!
mum: (still dying of laughters) yes. it's so funny!

Saturday

Saturday was an eventful and fun day. Went to school for debate in the afternoon. Then changed and dashed to IMM to meet the rest of OM people(: We went to Daiso (the always $2 shop! <3)>

Jiaqi, Claire and I were walking around aimlessly and looking for birthday presents. Hoho^^ We found a lot of kitchen utensils and bowls and chopsticks which are only $2 and Jiaqi and I started talking about next time when we moved out from our parents' house when we grew up, we must come here and buy our furniture ^^ Haha(:

Shopped there for almost two hours until Kailin came, paid ($86!!!) and left. We went to McDonalds instead of Swensens because only Mac has wireless hotspot ): Then Kailin showed Amanda her birthday present - a video montage (:. It was so sweet and touching!! Haha. I want one when my birthday comes. Okay. Just joking (: Heehee^^

Then Amanda went to meet her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Everyone wanted to track her down. Haha. Amanda, is he handsome? Then Jiaqi, Claire and I went to West Mall to watch Valentine's Day's movie - the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. HAHAHA ^^ Almost watched Defiance.

We ate our dinner at Kopitiam, took unglam photos and joked about. Apparently Amanda's mum was going to the same place she was dating with her boyfriend. Then we tried to think of ways out for her. In the end, I don't know what happened. HOHO.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is very nice (: Brad Pitt is very handsome. (= I like Cate Blanchett too!! Jiaqi and I were exclaiming how 'pei' they are during the movies.(: But I don't like Cate Blanchett in her blond hair. I like her hair in the movie (: hahaha^^ It is a very intriguing and nice story (: Don't mind watching again but it is too long - 166 minutes. Our movie started at 9.20pm and ended at 12.00am!!! Oh my tian. Jiaqi and I panicked because there might be no more MRT already ): Luckily the last one left at 12.17am so we "happily" jumped onto it.

Got home, showered, slept and slept (:

Sunday

Woke up at 11pm ): I can never wake up early on weekends unless I have something on in the morning ): I tried to wake up at 8am in the holiday but apparently I could not hear my alarm in my sleep. ):

Stoned and stoned and stoned until lunch. Then went for a nap and woke up and continued stoning. Haha. I had fever and sore throat and flu today so it was quite hard for me to concentrate on my studies ): But I am going to study now!!! YAY!! Haha. Then practised piano, ate dinner, practised trumpet. NOW - study. Haha.

I feel very slack these days. My mind is in a total mess. I don't really know my subjects well. But suddenly, everything seems so clear and I know all my stuff. I really don't know ): I think I need to do more practices especially for Maths. Yes. STUDY TIME! Byebye~

I was late today for national anthem because of three traffic jams ): Tried to catch some sleep on the car but ended up talking to my dad's boss' son. Haha. National anthem was so exciting! A girl school (name censored in case people blog search) band's band room was raided and the school was fined $20 000 because photocopied scores were found. Yeah. So everyone hurried to the shelf and transfered all our scores (our scores are photocopied, originals are in the band library) outside and brought them back to class. I have a lovely orange file under my desk in class too :D

Ke Hui is leaving already ): I WILL MISS YOU MY BROTHER!!! Yes. I will start sending love emails to her soon :D We played murderer during PCCG. Haha. JING YING WAS MURDERER! She looks so innocent ~~and cute~~!!!!!!! There was a very funny part. HAHA. Mr Chia asked the class "those who were murdered, a show of hands how many of you are murderers!" AND LONGSHAN my darling raised up her hand WHEN SHE WAS STILL PLAYING THE GAME! Oh my tian! So cute! Then she told me she did not even kill a single person. SO KIND :D

Went through the common mistake of our essay during LA. Whenever I wrote something down on my "learning log", I would just close my eyes and sleep. HAHAHA. Mr Tan did not see me doing that. Either because he was just in front of me so naturally he would look at the people behind me, or he thought my eyes were too small to be seen. YES. So I slept through my LA period. HAHA. Actually I was very awake when I did not write anything. Once I started writing something, I would just fall into deep coma. HAHAHAHA :D

After that was recess. Went for the NRIC registration. Miss Chen gave us 10min to grab something. Ate gan lao la mian and daddy ate jin si la mian. Recess-ed with Weiting and Shiao Kee and Xichen and Jing Yi (daddy and daughter ran too far away le, cannot find him/her)

Then Bio. Then SIL. SIL is very touching and inspiring. Maybe I will join Operation Smile if possible. I WANT TO HELP OTHERS!!!!! YES. I hope we can have SIL every day. HAHAHAHAHA XD

PSL GM. then Maths. Haha. Learnt one trick which I can "show off" in front of my friends and juniors. HOHOHOHO. Then Chinese. Then band. Then home.

Don't know what to do now. Maybe continue tagging at others' blogs. I just realised something. DADDY is the most shuang person now. HAHAHA. YES! This week is full of BIRTHDAYS!

February is really EXCITING (woots!)

Forgot to bring thermometer today ): Had to go general office to buy a new one. After I got mine (after 15min), found out that Claire, Amanda, Kailin and Elissa did not bring too ^^ And the queue was super long, all the way from GO to quadrangle. Miss Yap and VP are all in the GO 'selling' thermometers. HAHAHA (: when I went back to class, I found out that it was okay if I forgot to bring. No need to buy a new one ):

Maths for the first period. We did quiz for 30 minutes I think. I was so careless and forgot to factorise properly. So my lovely 2 marks waved goodbye at me ): (wondering what subjects I am having tomorrow)

BSP was about China history. Haha. Dr Ng kept on asking us for our opinions. and he kept picking on those who were talking (or seemed to be talking). so if you don't want to be picked, just remain quiet (: hahaha

PE was fun!!!! BADMINTON!!!! Haha. Played with Xichen for the first half. and Laogong Jing Wen, Laopo Xichen and Shiao Kee ^^ for the second half!! AND WANTING WILL BE MY TENTH WIFE!!! HOHOHOHOHO XD LOL!

After that is LA, we watched Frankenstein and the majority of class did not change back to hongzi. Mr Tan let us remain in hongzi. SO NICE (: and he kept on insisting that Frankenstein was actually a gay because he was not interested in his wife anymore *faint* and another strong evidence was that he told Henry about the monster but not Elizabeth. HAHAHAHA

^^ YES! After that was OM meeting. Waited for Jiaqi and ate and went to Bugis. Shopped in some hardware shop and wholesale shop and bought super glue, spray paint, masking tape and microphone for kailin. The microphone is very cute (: HAHAHA!!!! YES.

The exciting part is coming up (: We went to Bugis after OM shopping and took neos. I ran off to ANBC to buy notebooks and somewhere to buy presents for grand-daughter and 6th wife while eugenia, claire and 6th wife decorated the neos. AND WE WERE LATE FOR THE MOVIE!!!! (but it is okay. haha)

Wedding game is nice. The plot is quite lame but the lines are very funny. HAHAHAHA. I like it (: Then HOME SWEET HOME (: Have to study now. HOHOHOHOHO XD Can't wait for tomorrow ~~to be over~~

Today is quite a fun day at school. Reached school at 7.15am to pass up something. Did Maths QINE IT Worksheet 2 while waiting for OM meeting at 7.45am. Feels terrible because I forgot to bring my Chem notebook and Chem notes file and Chem worksheet file ): Why am I always so forgetful? Must change this horrible habit!

We are re-writing the script for OM now so it is... Don't know. Everyone just JIAYOU! We will overcome the problems someday (:

We wrote 应用文 during Chinese Compo period. Yanglaoshi is only returning on 19feb. I think we will finish the year's compo and compre (quoting jianing) by the time she comes back. But it is not bad I think. At least we don't have to see them anymore in the future (: GET WELL SOON YANG LAOSHI!!! *secretive look* actually we are suppose to hand in our compo today but ... *ahem ahem* some people in our class 'motivate' us to hand in together on Wednesday instead. Haha^^ so smart! so the whole class revised for Chem quiz during Chinese. So cool! It doesn't really matter when we hand in because when I went to Chinese department today, the stack of zuowen we wrote last Friday was still stoning in yanglaoshi's pigeon hole. well...

After that is Chem quiz. Did quiz and finished worksheet 5(: Then lunch (chem meeting) and finally MATHS!(: Maths is interestingly fun these days. Miss Kang asked us to take out QINE IT worksheet 2 and said "I know some of you did not do your worksheet. I am not going to check. But I will be disappointed. Disappointed to the nth degree." So funny (: then our whole class 'lied' to Miss Kang that QINE 1 is due next wednesday (it is due this wednesday). Miss Kang was so confused. Haha. In the end we got our bargain and only need to pass up QINE 1 and 2 next wednesday (: ^^ SO FUN!

Went through SBQ during IH. Everyone was praying for a fire drill. Haha. Because some teacher told us that there would be a fire drill this week. Then everyone was all hoping for fire drill when Miss Wong went to pick up the SBQ notes. But in the end there isn't any ): slept through the last 5 minute of IH.

Class contact was hilarious. Haha. Mr Chia told us to clean up the class and take down all the CNY decorations. We hanged all the decorations like long strings of hongbaos and fish on Mr Chia. Haha. Then everyone took out handphone and took picture of him. He actually posed for us with a broom! and he kept saying "hurry up! later principal walk past!!!" and called the photo-snapping session a 记者会. haha(: I will upload the photo if I can find one.

OKAY. Doing OM script now. Hope I can finish by 6.30pm. I am very very sad ): tomorrow have SL investiture rehearsal. that means I will be late for band): WHY WHY WHY??!!

An Excellent Read

I arrived at the address where someone had requested a taxi. I honked but no one came out. I honked again, nothing. So I walked to the door and knocked. 'Just a minute', answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor.

After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90's stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets.. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.

'Would you carry my bag out to the car?' she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, and then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness. 'It's nothing', I told her. 'I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated'..

'Oh, you're such a good boy', she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, and then asked, 'Could you drive through downtown?'

'It's not the shortest way,' I answered quickly. 'Oh, I don't mind,' she said. 'I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice'.

I looked in the rear-view mirror. Her eyes were glistening. 'I don't have any family left,' she continued. 'The doctor says I don't have very long.'

I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. 'What route would you like me to take?' I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds.

She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl. Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, 'I'm tired. Let's go now' We drove in silence to the address she had given me.

It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico. Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her.

I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair. 'How much do I owe you?' she asked, reaching into her purse.

'Nothing,' I said 'You have to make a living,' she answered. 'There are other passengers,' I responded.

Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly. 'You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,' she said. 'Thank you.' I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light.

Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.
I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly lost in thought.

For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift?
What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?

On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life.

We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.
But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID, BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

I am blogging again. Haha. Amanda and Claire thought that I was crazy last night because I blogged 4 posts in one go (because it is green traffic light!). Haha. Just finished OM. We are facing some difficulties because it's very hard to create an eccentric narrator. Oops. Why am I publicising this on my blog and let all the enemies (by chance some RGS or ACSI people may stumble upon my blog) see our top secrets?! Nothing nothing (: OM is as smooth as ever! (: *guilty smile*

To some people again, haha, dajia, like what I said in my email, it's normal to face difficulties (: it will be abnormal if everything is ever so smooth-sailing. I think every one of you is more thoughtful(as in have a lot of thoughts) and mature(my parents said that) than me. So pull yourself together and let's work hard towards our oh-so-bright future!!! Going to watch the suite life of zack and cody now. Haha. I feel so ~~childish~~ young. yes. totally man! I am influenced by Kailin and Eugenia. Haha. But I will never watch Hannah Montana because I don't like Miley Cyrus! I think hundreds of Miley's fans must be hunting down for me now. Haha.

Still left with a lot of homework. Actually they are not really homework. It's revision. I cannot understand some of my topics (because I guess I have been sleeping really late for no reason - sleep too much during cny). I need to JIAYOU more!!! YESYES!!!!!!

Just finished trumpet lesson :( it's terrible. I just woke up and my brain was dead. So I cannot play properly and breathe properly. I think my teacher is a little sad because I disappointed him. Piano too! I have not been making any progress at all during the holiday and even until now. I think I am really not musical. :( but never mind. I can always work hard :D
